I suck. I know. I am horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE. I have
been absent for nearly two weeks. There have been a few things to cause this,
most of which is house hunting and packing. House hunting sucks. I used to
think that would be fun to look at houses, I was so wrong. In a few weeks time,
we have looked at roughly 16 houses. We have loved 4. By the time we stepped
foot in the house, they already had several applications on it (we are renting,
not buying—which means we get to do this again in a few years when we are
buying. JOY.) We even got to be the first people to view a house within hours
of it being “on the market”, but it already had four applications on it before
we got ours in the next morning…FOUR. We kept getting passed over since we had to put in a 30
day notice for our apartment, and apparently, that’s too long of a wait for
someone to move in. To remedy that problem, we put in our notice for our
apartment. Our realtor told us it would be no problem finding a house we like
that is available. Well….It’s a problem. My husband says I am much too
picky when it comes to the house. I just want a good kitchen and a garden tub. It’s
not like I am asking for 24k Gold toilet seats. Basically, if we don’t find
something in the next 23 days, we will be "homeless". I am to the point I want to curl up in a fetal
position and cry each time I think about looking at houses. We even have a list
of 11 more that we want to look at within the week. ELEVEN MORE. The thought is a little
bit horrifying. So, if I am missing a bit in the next few weeks, you know why!
Anywho, I digress. Silly me, thinking you all come here to
read about my feelings! HA! Here is what you are really here for….My review on
Lush Cosmetic’s Jason and the Argon Oil Shampoo Bar!!!
I was “blessed” with baby-fine hair, but I have bountiful
amounts of it and it’s a bit dry on the ends, I can thank my mother’s Greek
half for that one. Blow drying, straightening, and curling almost daily doesn’t
help either. The biggest struggle I have
with my hair type is getting the right mixture of moisture that won’t
completely weigh my hair down.
I have tried several different shampoo and conditioner pairs
that all promise the same thing – “high volume” without dried out locks. They
all lied. Once I was done blow-drying my hair, I looked like a blonde Magenta
from Rocky Horror. Definitely not a cute look for me, unless it’s Halloween.

Review: As the name suggests, it’s made with Argon Oil, which is a
great oil to have in your beauty arsenal. It smells absolutely divine, just
like their Rose Jam shower gel that is available during the Holidays. It does
smell a bit sweet, but in a very pleasing way. The scent does stick around for
a while, but it’s not overpowering. The bar is also a pretty pink! I mean just look at that color! I am a sucker for pretty products The argon oil has also changed my hair for
the better! The first couple of shampoo sessions I used this product, my hair
was a little bit oilier than I expected, nothing a little dry shampoo didn’t
fix. (If you need a good dry shampoo, check out my last post!) By the third
use, my hair and scalp were used to the product and the results were marvelous.
My hair was very shiny and had some nice bounce! My husband even said it was
softer than normal, and you know how those husbands rarely notice things like
that! This product might even be working its way into the Holy Grail Shampoo
spot for me. It is THAT good.
Keep in mind, because of all of the oil that is packed inside this tiny little gem causes it to be a little bit on the soft side, so if you drop it or anything, it could break. It also has a tendency to break into smaller pieces as it gets thinner, but that goes with all of the Lush Shampoo Bars I have used.

As much as I want to sing only the praises for this shampoo
bar, I have noticed one thing. Now that things are warming up here in the
Dallas area, my hair is starting to lean a bit more on the oily side. Because
of the argon oil in this shampoo, I am finding this might not be the best
shampoo for the summertime. My hair tends to get a little bit oilier by the end
of the day and more dry shampoo is needed. I might just reserve this as my Fall/Winter/Spring
shampoo. I will update you more when it gets to be 100° every single day! Also,
the description says it lasts 80 washes – or 3 bottles of shampoo, I would have
to disagree with this statement. I have to replace this after ever 30 washes or
so. Even with all of that, I would give this product a solid 4/5 stars.
I hate to hear that you're house hunting isn't going as planned! I hope you find something (with a giant garden tub!) soon!!
