OCC Lip Tar Review

Today I'm reviewing OCC lip tars! I purchased my first lip tar a few weeks ago and it finally arrived today. I've never tried the lip tars before but I've heard great reviews so I am extremely excited to try this product.

Product Description: From OCC's website, "Our original matte liquid lipstick formula with unrivaled pigment intensity and wear-time. Only the smallest amount is needed for opaque coverage." The website suggests applying it

Size:  0.33 oz. This doesn't seem like a lot but this product is so insanely pigmented that a little will go a very long way!

Review: I'm not going to lie. The first time I applied this I messed up. Bad. I didn't realize just how little product needs to be applied and I over did it leaving my lips into a messy goop. After some intense googling I found out that you need an extremely small amount, less than a quarter of the size of a pea. This is wayyyy less than the package suggests. I would rate it 4/5 for coverage and long lastingness, but this is easily a 1/5 for application. Even though the formula is hyper pigmented and great, the application requires a brush and a pretty steady hand. This is a great lip product but not something you can just throw in your purse and run out of the house. Overall I rate it 3/5. Now that I've tried something in their matte line (I bought the lip tar in the shade Memento) I would love to try something from their metallic line!

Lush’s Jason and the Argon Oil Shampoo Bar Review

I suck. I know. I am horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE. I have been absent for nearly two weeks. There have been a few things to cause this, most of which is house hunting and packing. House hunting sucks. I used to think that would be fun to look at houses, I was so wrong. In a few weeks time, we have looked at roughly 16 houses. We have loved 4. By the time we stepped foot in the house, they already had several applications on it (we are renting, not buying—which means we get to do this again in a few years when we are buying. JOY.) We even got to be the first people to view a house within hours of it being “on the market”, but it already had four applications on it before we got ours in the next morning…FOUR. We kept getting passed over since we had to put in a 30 day notice for our apartment, and apparently, that’s too long of a wait for someone to move in. To remedy that problem, we put in our notice for our apartment. Our realtor told us it would be no problem finding a house we like...

IT Cosmetics VIP Dinner

This past weekend, I was lucky enough to be invited to a very special VIP dinner hosted by   IT Cosmetics   , along with fellow Dallas bloggers! The dinner included some divine food, champagne, fabulous makeup, and some incredibly fun company at   Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck  atop Reunion Tower in Downtown Dallas. We were also treated to makeovers and a meet & greet with the Co-Founder, Jamie Lima. Being so new at blogging this was my very first experience like this, and let me tell you it was a great first experience. The night started off with some wonderful appetizers, that unfortunately I did not snap pictures of! The tables were also decorated with some of IT Cosmetics products! Adorable! Once we sat down for dinner, we learned more about the company and their products. I had known of the company prior to this due to the New Beauty Test Tube last spring. I received one of their fabulous brushes, which made me want to try the other prod...

MyStylit.com Review

I am about to lay some truth about motherhood on you. Your life forever changes- for the good, the bad and the ugly. The changes range from having your heart filled with a kind of love you never thought you could experience to having a kangaroo pouch from carrying a tiny human being for 10 months. Before I got pregnant, I loved to play around with my style and I loved shopping! Fast forward 6 years, and it's not nearly as much fun. When you have a little boy and husband in toe, both complaining about how bored they are or how much they would rather go to the Lego Store, its hard to put together outfits while shopping. Its hard to ENJOY shopping like that. Now being a mom, with a job in an office with a stricter dress code, I had to change my style up a bit too. I suddenly felt like I lost my sense of what pieces I should put together, I needed some inspiration, and I needed it bad! A friend of mine posted about a website called www.mystylit.com and she raved about how absolutely a...
