Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint Review

Summer is almost here and over the weekend I went in search of a light, tinted moisturizer at Nordstrom. I had a few products in mind but decided to get advice from the sales associate since I have some issues with dry skin and was really looking for something that would be very hydrating. I ended up buying the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint.

Product Description:
From Jouer's website, "This lightweight moisturizing tint evens out imperfections and fades the appearance of fine lines with its light-diffusing multi-mineral formula. SPF 20 protects from UVA and UVB rays while Ginseng and Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract deliver antioxidants to skin, promoting a healthy complexion. Light to Medium coverage."

Size:
A full-size version of this product is 50 ml or 1.7 fl oz. This is plenty for a few months of everyday use.

Review:
Overall I would give this product three stars. The sales person told me it would make me look "glowing from the inside" which, if you ask me, is a pretty tall order to fill. This ended up being true to the extent that it made me look like a human disco ball. The "shimmering tint" that they promise is not so much a shimmer as it is a full out face sparkle. I have found that the only time I can use this product is when I mix it with some CC cream. It gives me just a little bit of shine without being overly distracting and sparkly. I wouldn't recommend this for everyday use.

Lush’s Jason and the Argon Oil Shampoo Bar Review

I suck. I know. I am horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE. I have been absent for nearly two weeks. There have been a few things to cause this, most of which is house hunting and packing. House hunting sucks. I used to think that would be fun to look at houses, I was so wrong. In a few weeks time, we have looked at roughly 16 houses. We have loved 4. By the time we stepped foot in the house, they already had several applications on it (we are renting, not buying—which means we get to do this again in a few years when we are buying. JOY.) We even got to be the first people to view a house within hours of it being “on the market”, but it already had four applications on it before we got ours in the next morning…FOUR. We kept getting passed over since we had to put in a 30 day notice for our apartment, and apparently, that’s too long of a wait for someone to move in. To remedy that problem, we put in our notice for our apartment. Our realtor told us it would be no problem finding a house we like...

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream Review

Being a Hockey Mom means I have to spend a lot of time in cold temperatures. It's like winter all year round. We spend several days a week at the ice rink, and as weather gets warmer here in Texas, my skin pays the price more every day. The change from warm to cold in such a short time span zaps any moisture out of my skin, specifically my hands. I went on a hunt for something that would moisturize my skin better than your average drugstore lotion. During a quick trip to Sephora, I was told to Josie Maran's Whipped Argan Oil Intensive Hand Cream a try since the Argan Oil would bring moisture back to my hands and elbows, the places that suffer the most. Product Description: From Josie Maran's website, 100% Pure Argan Oil, whipped to buttery perfection with rich shea butter, will soften you up in no time. With hydrating macadamia nut oil, anti-inflammatory chamomile and green tea extract, and nourishing carrot seed oil, it’s the most luxurious cream ever, hands-down...

Dry Shampoo Showdown - Round 1

It’s finally summertime! That means time for warmer weather and sweatier locks! This is the perfect time to talk about one lifesaving hair product, Dry Shampoo. Dry shampoo is a lifesaver, the one beauty product I could never live without – EVER. That’s right ladies, I would choose dry shampoo over mascara or lipstick! Dirty hair is a big no-no, at least in my book. Because of the hair genes my daddy-o passed on, I have fine, blonde, oily hair. Shampooing daily is obviously pretty time consuming and has a tendency to strip your hair of the natural oils. When that happens, your scalp tends to over compensate causing more oil production, which is not the best thing for us oily haired gals and guys! While daily shampooing might be the right choice for some, its not the answer for me. I found giving a few days between shampooing (using dry shampoo between) has really helped a few things: My hair has adjusted to the oil. I can go 3 days, sometimes 4 without having to shampoo my hair (...
