4 Summer Must-Have Essie Polishes

I love reviewing beauty products but my true passion is nail polishes. I could probably describe my polish stash as hoarding but I prefer the term collector. I have probably over 100 polishes from tons of brands and I'm always on the lookout for new ones to add to my collection. I've recently started buying from a lot of indy brands on etsy, but there is a special place in my heart for Essie products. Here is my list of six must-have polishes for summer 2015! 1. Blossom Dandy Blossom Dandy is the perfect mint color. This reminds me of sherbet on a sunny day. It would look extra great with a chevron accent nail. 2. Garden Variety Bolder than Blossom Dandy, this teal polish looks like the crystal waters of the Amalfi coast. Makes me want to sip a margarita beachside!  3. Pret-A-Surfer I usually like to wear shades of blue and dark reds in the winter but I just couldn't resist adding this blue to my summer list! Its a deep cornflower blue that would pair r

All about moi!

To change things up a bit and to let you know more about me, I am going to get a little personal. (In my head, I sang that as "Get a little   Personal, Personal” to the tune of “Physical” by the lovely Olivia Newton John—are you sure you want to get personal?!) What  is a better way to get more personal than to throw it back to my Xanga/Myspace days with a “Get to Know Me” questionnaire! I have no shame admitting I used to love doing these! 1: Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed? Closed. There might be a monster in the closet. 2:Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel? No! 5 years in the Hospitality Industry, it was pounded into my head how much those little babies cost - Not individually, but when you have to order a month’s supply…it’s a bit ridiculous. 3:Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out? I hate the feeling of sheets, so I don’t sleep with the top sheet at all. Just the fitted one. I was always told I was like the

Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint Review

Summer is almost here and over the weekend I went in search of a light, tinted moisturizer at Nordstrom. I had a few products in mind but decided to get advice from the sales associate since I have some issues with dry skin and was really looking for something that would be very hydrating. I ended up buying the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint. Product Description: From Jouer's website, "This lightweight moisturizing tint evens out imperfections and fades the appearance of fine lines with its light-diffusing multi-mineral formula. SPF 20 protects from UVA and UVB rays while Ginseng and Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract deliver antioxidants to skin, promoting a healthy complexion. Light to Medium coverage." Size: A full-size version of this product is 50 ml or 1.7 fl oz. This is plenty for a few months of everyday use. Review: Overall I would give this product three stars. The sales person told me it would make me look "glowing from the inside" which, if you as

OCC Lip Tar Review

Today I'm reviewing OCC lip tars! I purchased my first lip tar a few weeks ago and it finally arrived today. I've never tried the lip tars before but I've heard great reviews so I am extremely excited to try this product. Product Description:  From OCC's website, "Our original matte liquid lipstick formula with unrivaled pigment intensity and wear-time. Only the smallest amount is needed for opaque coverage." The website suggests applying it Size:   0.33 oz. This doesn't seem like a lot but this product is so insanely pigmented that a little will go a very long way! Review:   I'm not going to lie. The first time I applied this I messed up. Bad. I didn't realize just how little product needs to be applied and I over did it leaving my lips into a messy goop. After some intense googling I found out that you need an extremely small amount, less than a quarter of the size of a pea. This is wayyyy less than the package suggests. I would rate it 4
